Because I think my paintings are excellent
works done in a very unique style, I’d like to share them
with as many people as possible. One way to do this is to produce
high-quality, limited edition prints. To create these prints, I’ve
tried to hold to very high standards every step of the process.
I plan to add approximately twenty new prints to my website early
in 2006.
>> How are the prints produced?
The prints are the high-quality reproductions of my paintings. Each
painting was photographed by professional photographer Tad Merrick
of Middlebury, Vermont in a 4x5 inch transparency format. These
transparencies were then drum-scanned by Danny Burk Photography,
LLC. The final prints are printed by me using an Epson Stylus Photo
2200 printer on Somerset Velvet Photo Enhanced 225 gsm. Paper and
archival Epson Ultrachrome inks.
>> How should I care for my print?
As with all fine art, the print should be kept out of direct sunlight.
Framing, matting and use of a glass covering are recommended.
>> Do you sign and number each print?
Yes, after personally inspecting the finished print, I sign and
number each one.
>> Are the originals available for show or sale?
Many of the paintings which are reproduced in these prints
are still available for sale. If you have any interest in the originals,
or just want to comment on the work or, as a gallery owner, would
like to show my work, please contact me at jg@potatohillartworks.com.
