In this small painting, I tried to create an imaginary space: a large platform where we can come to pay homage to the Hero, who, in this case, is only shown as a large head and at that, with only the lower part of his face visible in the painting. I suppose this reflects my own unease with the idea of heroes, since heroes are often simplifications of much more complex personalities, and while they may inspire, may also cause those caught up in them to lose some of their own personality and judgment.
